Alumnae news
In the Saturday, April 7 Times Union - Katie Apfelbaum '07 is coxswain for the Oxford crew after a successful career at Trinity College in Connecticut.
So you're 5-foot-1, 110 pounds and have a "little girl voice." You probably do not choose to be a coxswain for a men's rowing team on one the biggest days of boat racing in the world. You probably don't choose to sit in a boat with eight guys who have at least 12 inches and 60 pounds on you, barking orders at them as you navigate the banks of The Tideway in front of 250,000 fans who line the shore. Unless you're Katie Apfelbaum. …
That's Katie above, running at Sectionals her senior year at AHN. There are some really nice pictures at the TU site.

Sectionals
This year's sectionals are done, and perennial champ Burnt Hills once again grabs the gold ring.
Massaroni Gets Game Winner
Quinn Massaroni received a perfect thru-ball from Erin O'Sullivan to score the lone goal of a 1-0 win over Cohoes. In the second, half Christina Spicer moved up from defense to put tremendous offensive pressure on the Cohoes goalie. Great team effort and way to stick TOGETHER!

Holy Names Plays to a 1-1 Draw at Cohoes
AHN scored early in the back-to-back series with Cohoes, with Julia Willox tapping in Quinn Massaroni's corner kick 10 minutes after the kick-off. Holy Names took the lead into the half and came out of the break ready to fight the muddy field conditions and wind. Despite great defensive efforts from Lexi Zerrillo, Tess Diefendorf and Courtney Cramer, Cohoes evened the score. Neither team scored in the 10 minute overtime despite aggressive offense from Nell Guarino, Anne Risler and Tatiana Ensslin, who scored in the second half off a goalie rebound, only to have the goal called back on a blown "offsides" call.
